Lorraine Jean Ryan, 75, of Vero Beach passed away February 9, 2021. George Ryll, 73, passed away on February 10,2020.Ī service will be held on Wednesday, Februat 12:00pm at Seawinds Funeral Home. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Alzheimers Association. There will be a private memorial service in the future. She also leaves 3 grandchildren, Katherine, Madison and George as well as 2 step grandchildren, Cameron and Iona. Lynn leaves a brother, Whit Robbins (Pat) of Powell OH, a son Daniel (Therese) of Windsor VT and a daughter Melissa Halliday (Sterling), of Finchamstead, UK. She is predeceased by her husband, Robert and her parents, Paul and Irene (Heckel) Robbins. Lynn was a member of the First Congregational Church of Stockbridge and also a long standing member of the United Church of Sebastian. She had 5 Yorkshire Terriers over the years that she cherished.Īfter retiring to Tupper Lake NY and Sebastian FL, Bob and Lynn volunteered at the Adirondack Museum and the Ocean Research and Conservation Association at Harbor Branch. In her later years she loved to take her grandchildren to the beach. She also enjoyed many outdoor pursuits with her husband including motorcycling, snowmobiling, camping and boating. She made beautful clothing for her children, grandchildren and even their dolls. Lynn loved crafts especially knitting, crocheting and sewing. Lynn’s daughter and both grandaughters went on to become elementary school teachers, proudly following in her footsteps. When Lynn retired in 1994 she was the Head Teacher at Morris School. She was very involved in the Massachusetts Teachers Association and the National Education Association working to help her school and coworkers. She was constantly taking classes to improve her teaching skills earning enough credits for a Masters degree. She taught first grade in the same classroom for over 30 years eventually having children of children she had had as students. Lynn and Bob moved to Stockbridge MA where Lynn started teaching first grade initially in East Lee and then on to Morris Elementary in Lenox. She married her high school sweetheart, Robert Etman, on December 21, 1958. Lynn graduated from Williamstown High School and then went on to earn a bachelor degree in elementary education from the University of Massachusetts. She grew up in Lake Mohawk NJ until her family moved to Williamstown MA when she was 16. Lynn was born in East Orange, NJ on July 7, 1936. ![]() Lynn (Robbins) Etman of Sebastian FL passed away after a long battle with Alziemer’s disease on February 9. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joe H. Earman (Heidi) of Vero Beach 5 grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Mary Earman of Vero Beach sons, William A. He was an owner of a radio and television broadcasting station.
